Hey! Has anyone met a famous person before? If so, who have you met and where did you meet this person?
I met a few. Most of them i met in Cyprus but i met a few in England as well.
In England i met Chris Tarrant who presents the famous game who wants to be a millionair because we visited Capital FM and he was doing the breakfast show there, and also i met the musician Andrew Loyd Webber.
He came to the college i was studying before to play and we interviewed him.
In Cyprus i met musicians, radio presenters, acters, etc.
I met Julian Loyd Webber, the cellist, who is Andrew loyd Webber's brother. I also met Brian may from Queen as well as Anita Dobson.
i've met quite a few but only brits will know most of them. i've met Margaret Thatcher, Paul Daniels (he's a prat), Ken dodd, simon cowel, Pete Waterman, dr. fox and nicki chatman, the entire Newcastle United football team, Kevin Kegan, Ant and Dec (who looked down my top) and that's all that comes to mind for now. would trade all of them for Brian May though...Wow! oh yeah, i know he's not really famous as such, but got very drunk with the guy in a dress from the bownty kitchen-roll advert!
Hi, all! I knew Elijah Wood, the guy who played Frodo in the Lord of the Rings movies. He was born and grew up for part of his life in Cedar Rapids Iowa, which is where I'm from. His parents are Catholics. Elijah and his brother Zack went to the same Catholic school as me and my older sisters. I remember when the family picked up and moved to Hollywood, thinking Zack would be the one to make it big. They were obviously wrong. Elijah probably wouldn't know me from Eve nowadays, but I do remember him from when we were both kids. I have a particular memory of us playing dominos together in the winter when it was too cold to go outside for recess.
When Elijah played Huckleberry Finn years ago, I could still recognize his voice, because it hadn't lowered yet. when I saw the LOTR movies, I wouldn't have known it was him unless I'd already read IMDB. Still, it's cool to say I knew him when.
i've met loads of people.
mat and david from little britain, the cheeky girls, blue, julian loyed webber, steve rite, the royal artilary band, the entire crew of ITV1's airline and also a few people from shows and at hotels
Only some local celebrities - no one nationally or internationally famous.
I have met several great people during my life.
The first one was John F. Kennedy shortly before his assasination. We didn't speak, I was just a face in a crowd, but it is a moment I will remember forever.
I shook hands with Jimmy Carter when I worked on his re-election campaign.
However, <he blows up with pride>, to me the person I know most intimately is Alan Tudyk. He is my nephew, and I've been drinking with him, I'm on his speed dial, and he calls me uncle Bob.
For those who are not familiar with him, he is a stage and film actor. I will proudly list some of the films he has been in.

Bob! You're Alan Tudyk's uncle! Oh my god! Oh my god! Excuse me while I squeal like the adoring fangirl I am...... Right that's out of the way... no, actually it's not, because I loved him to bits in Firefly, and he made me bawl my eyes out in Serenity, and he was so very lovable in a Knight's Tale, and he just steals the show in everything he does!
For my part, I know next to nobody famous. Some fantastic musicians, who are well known in their field and who I think will be famous one day, and a few local politicians. The Premier of our state, who came and asked me for a cup of tea when I was waitressing at Government House once, and the governer, who presented me with something-or-other for the kids of my town when I was about ten. And one olympic gold-medalist. It's all glitz and glamour at my end of the world. *grin*

When I was in Jr. High I met coach Herman Boone. Not the actor who played him on Remember the Titans, but the real guy. He had come to our school for an assembly, and I got to say hi to him. I've also met some local famous people, but that's about it.

He's a columnist for the Miami Herald and has written several books. Well he went and talked to our yerbook and newspaper staff, and signed my copy of hoot. He talked to us and is really a pretty cool guy.
I've met Aussie Country /Singer Casie Chambers and her brother at a concert of there's, and a couple of other Aussie Country musicians, but no-one internationally famous, either.
I've met a few local writers, and one rather famous African American writer by the name of Jackolyn Woodson (she wrote if you come softly), and Sparky Anderson.

I'll never forget that... I also met mario vasquez, he was also one of the american idol people, but he dropped out and made it big on is own. I'd love to meet JT, oh my god... but yeah, anyways.
